Serving Our Culture of Care on a Silver Platter

Our team at Veranda Gardens knows the "recipe" for giving great care and we see all their effort in delivering and exceeding expectations for the residents. Because we consider our healthcare workers heroes every day, to recognize and show appreciation for all their hard work, we salute them with a quarterly facility lunch. Four of our talented Dietary Managers took on the task to prepare and serve a fantastic meal for the entire Veranda Gardens staff to enjoy.


We want to thank our Dietary Managers, Dee, Tamika and Dejay, and from our sister facility, The Home at Hearthstone, Annita, for preparing this meal. It consisted of chicken, pulled pork, potatoes, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, green beans, pasta, bread and many assorted desserts. There may have been a few calories packed into that meal, but there was just as much in love!



We held the festivities in the Veranda Gardens' game room, which was considered the perfect setting. The room is used for residents and staff alike to relax and enjoy a few moments of fun. Boosting our employee morale is important; it's key to having happy employees. Encouraging fun creates a healthy working environment and produces good vibes that spill over into our residents' care.

Fun, food and work can absolutely go together. We think incorporating it little by little every day creates our Culture of Care. It motivates and encourages a pleasant atmosphere that improves effort and excellence in the performance of our employees as a whole.
