Recovery Success!

Aaron came to our facility in April with a short-term need for care. Veranda was his first experience with a skilled nursing facility, and although his life changed in what he explains as "in an instant", he was very pleased with his care and the relationships he made while at the facility! "Staff was overall great, especially Bridget in particular". Once Aaron started his healing process and was able to move around the facility, he became fast friends with our front desk receptionist, Ms. Mary. You would often find him in the lobby enjoying his daily visit with her. He's not much of an activities guy, but the one thing he truly enjoyed was the weekly Bible study provided by a local church for all our residents. Aaron who has been a certified ordained minister for the past 10 years found joy in helping others in similar situations as himself. He was a wonderful encourager and he quickly gained the respect of all that met him. Now Aaron is on his way to North Carolina where he will be starting his new chapter in life...retirement. He chose North Carolina to be close to family who reside there and being close to the beach is definitely a plus . He has spent the last 30 years traveling the country working behind a camera in Media/IT . His last Job before retirement was with P&G.



Aaron is looking forward to taking this time to redefine his life and pursue ministry. He states that though his experience in a nursing facility he came to realize the importance of human connection. His plan is to connect and partner with some local facilities in his new area and volunteer providing spiritual council. He is also working on starting a new podcast discussing finding gratitude in tough environments. His favorite quote is "If you live on purpose you won't die by accident". We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to pour into his life! Aaron is definitely a man that is living a purpose driven life and we wish him all the best in his next adventure!
