Working in long-term care offers opportunities to meet some very special individuals between the residents and staff members. Working in long-term care is not for everyone, as it requires a certain type of person with an extra caring and selfless heart. Miss Mary is an example of one of those individuals and has impacted everyone here at Veranda Gardens.



If you've visited our facility, you've likely had the pleasure of meeting Miss Mary, our receptionist. She always has the sweetest smiling face as you enter the front doors of Veranda Gardens. She's always ready with a kind word and has gained the love of all who reside, visit or work here. She is a friend to many, and you'll often find many of our residents visiting her desk throughout the day.

Miss Mary has been a member of the Foundations Health Family for 15 years, leaving a positive imprint and spreading our Culture of Care everywhere she goes. Making everyone feel special is one of the amazing characteristics she has that makes her the kind and caring person she is. Mary loves taking care of her own and helping out wherever she can. She even takes care of the staff's plants and likes to call Bingo during activities.
