Therapy Success Story

At Veranda Gardens, seeing progress in the care of our residents is vital to our team. We love seeing this progress through our success stories and sharing these with our community.

We had the pleasure of caring for Ruth Beaver and Joann Richardson, a mother and daughter who were involved in a tragic car accident. Joann had to have multiple surgeries to get back on her feet again. Following her recent surgery, Joann needed rehab and chose to work with our wonderful Therapy Team. She was the primary caregiver for her mom, Ruth, so she had to come along for care during her stay. Joann participated in her rehab stay while mom enjoyed a respite stay while supporting her daughter and learning how to walk again.


During their time with us, they've made many new friends. Joann and Ruth enjoy hanging out in our activity room and are always walking about the facility, interacting with residents and staff alike. After her short stay and hard work in therapy, Joann was ready to return home. When asked about her time at Veranda Gardens, she states, "It's a great place! The Therapy Department is great, and the Activity Department has so many activities to enjoy. I love the residents and the staff."

As she left, Joann shared that she would come back to Veranda Gardens as a volunteer to show her gratitude. It was such an honor and pleasure to care for Joann and Ruth. They brought us so much joy and laughter while with us! Thank you, ladies, for entrusting us with your care!
